The Mary from Papillio is an interpretation of the classic Mary Jane in a rustic and especially comfy version. It boasts a subtle slit at the front of the upper as well as a heel strap. The heel strap ensures optimum support – even on wedge heels. The delicate circular buckles are an elegant eye-catcher. The upper is made from high-quality, soft nubuck leather that boasts a natural, rustic appearance.

Nubuck leather has a gently buffed surface with no grains. As with velvet, brushing the surface of nubuck leather displaces the fibers and leaves a visible mark. Nubuck leather is very sensitive to moisture and color, and it therefore needs to be waterproofed.

The flexible leather lining, which is gentle on the skin, nestles up softly against your foot and adjusts to its contour. The open-pored and thus very breathable surface makes for a comfortable foot climate, even during more strenuous physical activity.

Polyurethane, also known as PU, is a synthetic material ideally suited for use outdoors. It is water-repellent and dirt-resistant and very easy to care for.
